Choosing a puppy that will integrate well into your family is the best way to guarantee a rewarding experience. Before you consider purchasing any puppy, determine the breed that is right for you. Find out if the breed fits your lifestyle, family situation, activity level and overall expectations. Talk with local clubs, organizations and breeders, and attend dog shows or visit a dog park to talk with actual owners of the breed.

Buyer Beware

There are many so-called breeders that are actually puppy mills that do not follow responsible or humane breeding practices with the only goal of making a profit.
